Favorite hikes near Anchorage:
Flat Top Mountain
A 15 minute drive up the hill from town, and a 45 minute hike to the summit makes this one of the most popular hikes in Anchorage. A well maintained trail and great views makes this a great thing to do for half a day, plus there are other hike options right near by. Beware that the upper Huffman Glen Alps parking lot tends to fill up during the noon hours.
